This painting of mauve-colored roses was copied from an instructional book by Jan Kunz as a guided learning exercise, and therefore is not available as a Giclée print.

Joseph's Coat is an amazing rose that begins as a golden yellow bud and at full bloom is blushed with crimson red. It makes a stunning display in the summer garden.

Here is a sassy, regal rhododendron that graces my garden each spring. It glows radiantly when backlit by the late afternoon sun.

These unusual yellow rhododendrons are pure sunshine and joy. The original painting is my largest, and the subtle shades of color and dimension of the flowers inspired me to paint them in a more realistic style.

A painter can have almost as much fun naming paintings as she can painting them! I named these exquisite lilies after two lively, friendly, pretty twin girls I once knew.

I manipulated my own digital photo in Photoshop. I was aiming for a realistic image with a painterly quality.

This really was the true color of this beautiful and unusual head of cauliflower embraced by its tender green-tinged leaves! I edited my digital image in Photoshop to achieve a stippled look.
These matilija poppies seem to float as white clouds against a mysterious, impressionistic background. This was an interpretation of the instructor's photo in a workshop.

Peaches 'n' Cream evokes visions of a warm, serene summer day full of sunshine and gentle breezes that melt and blur the garden into a sea of color and light.

These delicate pink roses remind me of fine Victorian ladies in fancy gowns huddled in some giggly secret conference. There is a lady of a different sort visiting them.

The floral still life of pink carnations in a crystal vase lit by late afternoon sun was painted in a painting workshop as an interpretation of a photo provided by the instructor.

Here I took the same camellia photo further into the impressionistic realm for a more abstract look.

These ornamental kales light up the winter garden with a burst of rich, vibrant color and capture the imagination with their sculptural forms. Digital photo altered in Photoshop.
